Do we have to fry everything?

So I've heard that deep frying a turkey is the best way to cook it.

I hosted my husband's family on Thanksgiving last year and I seriously thought about buying a turkey fryer just so that I'd have more oven room & time for other things. In the end I just couldn't do it.

Sometimes I am so traditional it's crazy.

I cooked it in the oven and I'll be was a little dry. I'm not sure what happened, but I'm a perfectionist when it comes to hosting and I was horrified. Everyone said it wasn't too dry, but you ever tell the hostess that the turkey is dry?

Of course not. That's rude.

Anyway, I'm not hosting Thanksgiving this year. But I'm sure I will again for the husband's family next year and I'm already thinking I may invest in the turkey fryer. As gross as it seems to me now.

Find the above turkey fryer here at Target.

  1. You are so funny! I agree...everything is fried these days...twinkies, snickers bars. I even heard they had deep fried Coke at some state fair. I don't get how they did that though.
Anywho, deep frying the turkey is sooooooo good! It keeps it so moist! We use peanut oil, which is better than vegetable oil right?
You should try it next year.
