My perfect coat rack
I've been looking for a cool coat rack for awhile. I want something by my backdoor, but I don't want it to be just any ol' hook.
Today I found just the thing!

This Victoria Butler Coatrack is perfect. It's modern, it's cool & it's totally practical!

Bringing the outside in
I love these Boards by Joel. They sell them as trivets & coasters. I think I would just use it as a decoration. They are beautiful!

Whiskey Stones
One of my day jobs is in the stone business. I have a ridiculous love of stone.
I mainly deal with countertops, but when I see stone used other ways I really geek out about it.
I don't really drink whisky but I TOTALLY want these soapstone Whiskey Stones from Teroforma.

Buttered Up
I find this butter dish to be near perfection.
White ceramic + a sense of humor + cheap (only $12!).
Yes, near perfection indeed.

Green with Glamour
I thought I had mentioned this website here before....I guess not.
Anyway, I love Green with Glamour. It is my kind of company. I love their business practices and they've got cool stuff. Really cool stuff. Beautifully designed stuff. I may spend too much time swooning over things on their website.

great advice
Although Ballard Designs isn't my typical style, I really love this company and their catalog that I receive in the mail and instantly devour.
In their newest catalog they featured an interview that House Beautiful did with Suzanne Kasler. Suzanne is an amazing Interior Designer in Georgia. She has an awesome book, Suzanne Kasler Inspired Interiors, & has her own home line. She is basically everywhere. She's awesome.
I'm veering off course though.
The very first question they asked in the interview was...
House Beautiful:
What advice would you give to someone who's thinking about redoing a room?
Her answer is my favorite answer. It's the answer I always give, and now that the infamous Suzanne Kasler is in print giving the same answer I feel justified.
Her answer....
"Be true to what you love. That's really the key to creating a space that feels personal. Buy things that you like, and don't worry about wheather or not they match. Matching is overrated."
House Beautiful:
But how do you know if it will all go together?
Suzanne Kasler:
"You don't. You may have to add or subtract once you get everything into the same room. But somehow, if these are all things you love, they will just naturally come together and complete a certain feeling. And that will express you and your style."
Perfect. Answer.

I think these would be good Christmas gifts...
While trying to figure out what the heck I am going to get some people on my Christmas list, I found some super fun stuff that I think would be good gifts. I liked them so much I wanted to share...
This WTF Snowglobe from Urban Outfitters is only $12.00 and is funny. I like a good and funny gift.

I bought this LOL Disposable Camera from Urban Outfitters for one of my brothers. I totally think he is going to love it! Plus, it's only $12.00!

I think I will buy this Mini Branch Wall Hook from Urban Outfitters for myself, isn't it lovely? It too is only $12.00! I love UO for their great prices. :)

Okay, I think these Star Crayons from Stubby Pencil Studios are so stinking fun and they are only $8.95! The best part about them? They are made from 100% recycled crayons. These are so wonderful.

This pretty bag from Magpie Lovely would be a perfect girlfriend gift.

EcoDomo Recycled Leather Tile
Stitched Recycled Leather Tiles are made with landfill-bound scraps of leather from BMW car seat manufacturers, furniture manufactureres, shoe manufacturers and other tanneries.
The materials are shredded and rebound with natural rubber and acacia tree sap.
EcoDomo's tiles would be great for flooring, a kitchen backsplash and other wall applications. I personally think it would be so beautiful in a home library.
They do not suggest using the tiles in high-moisture areas (for example, bathrooms with a frequently used shower).
It sounds so easy to install. I think most diy-ers wouldn't have any problems installing it themselves. Another HUGE plus? No grout!!!

Etsy love
I love this Etsy shop pixel this who has "Stuff Made From Stuff".
This is the ultimate in recycling in-my-opinion! :)
This recycled record player is probably my favorite. How clever is this? And record players are always fun to look at!

Wash your hands in your toilet.
Okay, maybe not in your toilet....but how about on top?
The Toilet Lid Sink has been available on Gaiam for a while now. It's such a fabulous idea, not only for saving water, but it would be great for small spaces as well.
With this model you just replace the lid of your toilet...not the entire toilet. On Gaiam's website it sells for $89-$119. That's a great deal! They claim it installs without any tools, another plus!
I really like this newer model from Caroma though. I just like the look of it better. It's the whole toilet and sink. I've seen it sold for about $399-$499, which really isn't bad at all for a toilet, sink and faucet. My only question is do you lean over the toilet or do you straddle it? It may be a little awkward. Still a fabulous idea though.
